Through her photographic lenses an amazing universe is fabricated. There’s a shared quality amongst her themes, there it be fashion or travel or portrait images. A fragile sensibility that transforms mundane subjects into works of art and dresses the world with a delicate symmetry. The images are serene, calming our frantic senses, in an instant, upon looking at them and the people she captures seem confident but also quiet. A quaint view of our constantly erratic lives.

Flowers from the garden

My garden is pretty young and the blooming flowers are yet sparse still, around this time every year whenever I have the chance I pick fresh flowers from our garden. I find joy in bringing home what nature has to offer! A little ritual that marks the change of season and the years passing by… These little handmade bouquets instantly give an uplifting note in our living room. It’s true that no matter how humble a flower is the beauty that encapsulates is precious.

Leigh Viner, a self taught artist, creates these rad illustrations out of her deep appreciation and love for fashion! Her pieces celebrate beauty all the way. The artworks are sensational yet powerful. She has a wide range of mediums varying from sketch to photography. The one showing here is a favorite of mine. Family Affairs

Clothes that remind me the breeze of summer have a special place in my heart. When I wear them I recall memories of long forgotten holidays… As if lazy warm evenings of other times sail in the ocean of my mind. I long for this familiar notion, from time to time, to soothe me and cuddle me. The clothes from the spring summer collection of Family Affairs have a similar quality which draws me so effortlessly!

Scenes from a bedroom

Since my pregnancy, the room I spend most of my time is my bedroom. This is where I think, I sometimes eat and connect with the world. It’s my comfort room and here I do almost anything! I guess for many people bedroom also serves other purposes than sleep, like office space or studio and so does for me even though I have a dedicated room in the house for that. I’m not one to complaint though! I have happy times here doing my own thing and even if days get rough I look around and see things that I love. Those little knick-knacks like my books and magazines keep me company and inspire me greatly. 

Beauty is this wallpaper called Carpates!

Do you know the feeling when you come across something truly divine? Your heart starts pumping, your eyes get wet and you loose sense of time. When I saw this sumptuous space, everything froze. I was gazing upon it until it became unbearable…  There’s so much going on in this picture to just pretend I don’t care. First of, this plump velvety sofa with the color of open sea, a color that lures you in!  The delicious set of pillows, so inviting and comfy… The pile of magazines promising a great afternoon time.  And then it’s the wallpaper. Oh my! It’s not for the faint of heart. Dark, exquisite and imposing, it takes up your existence and sucks you in! So dramatic and unique without looking dowdy. The colors are muted but rich. The texture is quite present and utterly opulent. This paper transforms the room into something extraordinary and unique, full of depth and dimension, like nothing does!

Creatures of the Wind

My mind is blown away… Are these fashions unique or what? Under the enchanting name Creatures of the Wind, the apparel label, has created bold and colorful garments for their summer collection. I see neon and florals combined in their clothing harmoniously, plus the detailing makes those pieces stand out. I just love it when fashion can be playful and young at heart!

The amazing imaginary of photographer Jonas Ingerstedt

Today, I picked this house from the interiors portfolio of Swedish photographer Jonas Ingerstedt. I find it very appealing with its gallery wall full of unique photographs and its kitchen with vintage Eames chairs and a gorgeous orange Smeg fridge. The rest of  the home showcases a mingle of contemporary and antiques style which I totally dig! A house of full of personality, seen through the lens of a great photographer.
